The Recipe: Orange Peel Cakes
The Challenge: Bake cakes in the coals

 

1.     Stir up some batter.

2.     Cut a small “lid” in the top of big navel oranges.

3.     Scoop out the insides, just like carving a pumpkin.

4.     Eat the orange pulp,

5.     Pour the cake batter into the gutted oranges, each about two-thirds full.

6.     Put the “lids” back on the oranges, and wrap them in heavy foil, and set them on the coals for about 20 minutes, turning them often.
